About John Wills

John grew up in Sibley, graduated from Sibley Community High School, and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Northwestern College in Orange City. He has been involved in water quality and conservation work for more than 15 years and is the Vice President of the Okoboji Protective Association working to protect water resources. He also currently serves in the National Guard and has been in the military for 25 years, serving 15 months in Iraq and 9 months in Afghanistan.

John's life has been dedicated to service and now he is looking to work on behalf of Iowans in the Statehouse.

John has lived in all three counties of the district and knows the issues that affect us all. He has the courage to bring our Northwest Iowa values and ethics of hard work to the concrete of Des Moines. John is a founding member of Pheasants Forever in Osceola County, and a member of the State Pheasants Forever Council.  He is also a member of the Friends of Lakeside Lab and Veterans of Foreign War. John and his wife Cami have three adult children.

With your help, I will:

  • Work to cut through red tape and reduce burdens for small business so they can grow
  • Support agriculture and the jobs it provides in our communities
  • Protect the family budget not spending more than the state takes in
  • Defend family values and protect the unborn.
